Saying Hello To Winter

Well, there’s no escaping it now. Winter has officially arrived. With all the neat stuff that comes with winter in Alaska, there is also the less pleasant stuff. Winter means slick roads and cars that get damaged.

No one likes to have their stuff broke. Here at Alaska Auto Arts we understand that. It’s why we are here and why we pride ourselves on fixing your stuff and getting you back on the road as soon as possible.

It all starts with getting an estimate. We have a warm, clean estimating bay so we can get an accurate estimate written without worrying too much about snow and ice. Our estimates are fast, free and friendly. With that said, when you call about getting an estimate, one of the first questions you’ll be asked is if this will be an insurance job. We ask this not because it makes a difference in the estimate, it’s just that some insurance companies will require the estimate to be written by their own adjuster.

The first few flakes of snow hit the windshield yesterday. No stopping it now, I guess. Winter will be here shortly and we are all set to take care of your auto body needs. We are fully staffed and with our ASE certificates in tow, we want to be your body shop of choice. Yes, we know you have a choice of where to take your precious to get repaired. We hope you’ll consider us if the unthinkable happens and your car gets damaged. We work from all insurance company estimates and in fact some insurance companies write estimates right here in our shop at least two days a week.

We have been serving Alaskans for over 50 years and we like that. We plan to be around at least another 50 years to continue serving the auto body repair needs of all Alaskans.

Today, we have taken a step to help our customers with their decision to have their car repaired here. Effective July 31, 2011, we are an ASE Blue Seal certified body shop.

What this means:

Our technicians, painters and estimators have all demonstrated proficiency in the subject areas required for certification by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).

This is not a “gimmee” certification. ASE tests are considered by many in the industry to be one of the best tools available for measuring expertise in a given area of automotive repair.

While we have always guaranteed our work, ASE Blue Seal certification gives you the confidence to know that every step of the repair process will be handled by folks who are competent in all areas of automobile body repair.
